Service Description
What to expect A non invasive skin treatment, generally comfortable. You will feel gentle, short strokes with a surgical blade at approximately a 45 degree angle. This is followed by relaxing LED light therapy and a leave on mask. Part 1 – Dermaplaning • A Double Cleanse using lipid cleansing oils, AHAs & BHAs • Using a new, sterile, surgical scalpel short, light strokes are used on the face & neck to gently shave off the top layer of skin and fine facial hair (peach fuzz/vellus). It’s important to note that there is no risk of vellus hair becoming terminal hair (thick, coarse, often dark). Terminal hair has a distinct central core known as a medulla and grows from deeper follicles connected to sebaceous glands. Vellus hair is fine, does not have a medulla, and has shallower follicles. In summary, dermaplaning will not cause darker, coarser hair to grow in place of peach fuzz. • Two to three passes are made over the entire face & neck to ensure all dead skin cells & hairs are removed. Part 2 – LED Light Therapy • An LED Canopy is used to emit Yellow LED Light (approx. 590nm) over the face & neck. This soothes sensitivity, reducing redness, and accelerates healing and is highly effective for calming the skin immediately after exfoliation. Part 3 – Regen Mask The Regen mask is applied at the end of your treatment and is worn home. It’s clear, barely noticeable but highly effective at enhancing the results of the LED therapy. It’s excellent for soothing redness, accelerating healing, and deeply hydrating sensitive skin. Ingredients include organic aloe vera, peptides, and green tea and it promotes faster skin barrier repair plus provides antioxidant benefits. The result, incredibly smooth, soft, and radiant skin, flawless make up application and improved product absorption. More sensitive skin may look mildly flushed initially but this usually subsides within a few hours. If you are considering dermaplaning as a pre-event treatment please allow 3-7 days before the event. If it’s your first time, it’s recommended to try it a month or two prior to see how your skin reacts.
Cancellation Policy
A *non-refundable* 20% deposit is required for all appointments please. This is fully redeemable from the overall cost of treatment providing the terms of the booking policy have been met. Please do ensure your personal details are entered correctly especially your email address as all correspondence in relation to your appointment will be sent via email. We completely understand sometimes emergencies do occur therefore we allow you to reschedule your appointment and transfer your booking fee to an alternative date, as long as 48hrs notice has been given. You will receive a reminder email before your appointment. If you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment, please click the cancel/ reschedule button within your appointment confirmation email. Please note the 20% deposit will be retained for appointments cancelled less than 48 hours in advance. If you are running late Please inform us as soon as possible, Please note if you are more than 15 minutes late to your appointment we may not be able see you and may need to cancel your appointment. New Clients Treatments are carried out at the therapist’s discretion. If we feel you have previously been over treated or for any reason you are not suitable for treatment, we will unfortunately decline treatment. We always try to find an alterative treatment which will benefit your skin and treat it to it’s maximum potential considering it’s condition. We strongly recommend you book a consultation before booking treatment. If you are a new patient a full consultation sheet will be sent out to you for completion in advance of your treatment. Please ensure you make us fully aware of any underlying health conditions / allergies / medications New Client Consultations All new clients will be sent a consultation sheet on booking for completion ahead of your treatment. An online or in person consultation may be required ahead of your treatment to ensure we can maximise the benefits for you and that you are a suitable candidate. Younger clients All clients under the age of 16 must be accompanied by an adult All discounted treatment courses must be paid for in advance in full please however appointments for these treatments can be booked individually. On cancellation of any pre booked upcoming appointments a cancellation fee of 20% will be deducted for each appointment cancelled By booking an appointment you are accepting these terms and conditions.
