Microneedling is a highly effective, minimally invasive skin treatment designed to naturally stimulate your body’s collagen and elastin production. By creating thousands of precise, microscopic channels in the skin, it triggers a powerful healing response. This process smooths out fine lines, fades acne scars, shrinks large pores, and tightens sagging tissue for a radiant, rejuvenated complexion.

As skin thickness varies significantly across your face and neck, needle depths are customised during your treatment—ranging up to a maximum of 1.25mm, to ensure both safety and optimal results; Forehead and Nose (0.25mm – 0.5mm), Around the Eyes and Mouth (0.25mm – 0.5mm), Cheeks and Jawline (0.75mm – 1.25mm), Neck (0.5mm – 1.0mm).

Microneedling is generally safe, but it is strictly contraindicated for anyone with active skin infections, bleeding disorders, or a history of keloid scarring.

Individuals must completely avoid the procedure if they have local skin issues such as open wounds, active acne vulgaris, severe eczema, psoriasis, or active herpes simplex outbreaks, as needling can spread pathogens or worsen severe inflammation. Systemic medical conditions like uncontrolled diabetes, connective tissue diseases, active skin cancer, and severe immunosuppression from chemotherapy also prohibit treatment due to the heightened risk of infection and severely compromised wound healing. Furthermore, bleeding disorders like hemophilia or the current use of anticoagulant blood thinners present a major risk for uncontrolled bleeding and bruising.

Temporary or relative exclusions require waiting periods for specific medications and recent cosmetic procedures. Patients must wait at least six to twelve months after completing oral isotretinoin therapy to prevent abnormal hypertrophic scarring. Recent aesthetic interventions like botulinum toxin, dermal fillers, chemical peels, and laser resurfacing typically require waiting anywhere from two weeks to a few months before treating the same area. Finally, microneedling is not recommended for pregnant or breastfeeding women due to a lack of safety data and increased hormonal skin sensitivity.
